Sea Turtle Awareness Participants of the Sea Turtle Awareness program are invited to browse through an assortment of displays and view a slide presentation highlighting the past and future of sea turtles. After a question and answer period with a park ranger, a beach walk in search of nesting loggerheads is led, weather permitting, along the shore of the John U. Lloyd Beach State Park. Turtle Walks from the Gumbo Limbo Environmental Complex Every Monday, Wednesday and Thursday night during May through July, the Gumbo Limbo Environmental Complex offers guided turtle walks. Each walk occurs from 9pm to 11:30pm, by reservation, with a video and short lecture before hand.
